Though it began as a simple lighting consultation, this project quickly morphed into a collaborative effort with the homeowner and general contractor in which all finishes were considered. Two alcove dormers were added during the remodel of this former attic bedroom: one for a built-in desk, and another for a sitting area. Skylights and windows feature remote control for ease, while white window shades block light as needed. Closet and cabinet hardware were chosen to match the custom black steel railing. The addition of the sitting area provides a dedicated space for the homeowner to read, relax, and enjoy the fruits of their remodel.
