When the homeowners first purchased this grand foursquare in NE Portland, they realized that it would need some love and attention in order to achieve the results they desired. The goal: a pared-down aesthetic for a calming feel. A white palette worked to connect the large main floor rooms, while wallpapered feature walls and pops of color on the front door and in the children’s bedrooms provide plenty of visual interest. S Baird Design worked on this home over a period of five years, beginning with interior finishes, then a basement remodel, and ending with an update of the kitchen surfaces.
